Berserker — Each time you take an injury or wound, you may make a Fighting attack as a
Free Action against an adjacent enemy. You gain no bonus dice for this test.
In addition, you can continue fighting even when you should be defeated. At the end of your turn, if you have taken wounds sufficient to defeat you, you may make a Formidable (12) Will test to continue fighting. The penalty dice gained from wounds do not apply. You may make a number of such tests equal to your Endurance rank. After this time, you are defeated as normal.

Brother of the Night’s Watch — You derive the full effects from being a member of the Night’s Watch. Take –2D on all Status tests (House rule: Only if they are aware you are in the Night’s Watch). You regain any destiny points invested in Heir or Head of House and lose these benefits if you have them. Whenever you earn Coin or Glory, you may not invest them into your house, but may invest them into your division. Finally, you gain an additional benefit based on your order.
Ranger: Add your Cunning ranks as a bonus to all Survival test results.

Night Eyes — You take no penalty on Fighting and Marksmanship tests or on other physical tests when in areas of poor visibility caused by low light.

Haunted — You take a –1D on Awareness tests, but during the first round of combat, you may add the number of Memory bonus dice to your Fighting test results.

Born in Pentos in Essos, Liam was born as Rashid to the noble Hassan family, one of the oldest families in Essos. His father died young, leaving Abdul head of the household at age 18. Abdul and his wife Priscilla were already highly respected members of the community by age 25 and active in local politics. The heir to the powerful al’Jareel family died suddenly from an overdose of opium. Lord al’Jareel, infuriated, declared his intent to disassemble the illicit Drug Exchange that had been importing the opium. Lord Tadhg, head of the influential Curi family and secretly also the head of the Exchange, accused Abdul of spearheading the organization. Within a week, an alliance of guards from the al’Jareels and other noble families came to seize the Hassan lands and kill the family. Abdul spent all his money to escape with his family to Westeros, where he took the name Liam Madson.

Now residing in the town of Palmer, Liam and his wife were forced to beg in order to get enough food to feed themselves and their children, four-year-old Kerri and two-year-old Sean. Begging wasn’t always sufficient, however, and after a long stretch of having no food, Liam saw an opportunity when the baker left his shop to buy some wheat. He sneaked into the shop and stole a loaf of bread, but on his way out was caught by a passing city guard. The guard attempted to arrest Liam, but Liam wrestled the sword out of the other man’s hand, easily dispatching him. Several other guards, having witnessed the struggle, pursued Liam, who took out ten of the guards before being cornered and subdued.

A recruiter for the Night’s Watch, who had been surveying the fight with interest, intervened at this point, telling the guards that Liam was to take the black. When the guards questioned the wisdom of recruiting a common beggar, the recruiter countered that any beggar who could best eleven guards in a fight was up to defending the Wall. The guards reluctantly relented, letting Liam go with the recruiter into his new life.

Once in the Night’s Watch, Liam was trained as a Ranger because of his already considerable combat skill. He quickly established himself as being an exceptional teacher of swordplay and was assigned to train new recruits. Though it was heavily discouraged by the Night’s Watch, Liam kept in contact with his wife Priscilla, who managed to get a position as a handmaiden to a minor lady within the Red Keep thanks to Granger Greyjoy.
